Liars

Teele Square is playing host to a new kind of troublemaker. Liars has arrived in Somerville, and it is busy dismantling the conventions of the local bistro scene. The menu here isn't trying to win awards for tradition; it is trying to win over your palate with a playful, nontraditional take on comfort food.

It is the kind of place that feels lived-in the moment you walk through the door—dim, quirky, and focused on the essentials of a good meal. If your idea of a perfect night is a neighborhood spot that doesn't take itself too seriously but treats its ingredients with genuine respect, Liars belongs on your list. It is a bold, breezy addition to Somerville’s dining landscape that demands a seat at the table.
